Postcard production is coming along really slowly, though I did manage to get two more done. I'm using a lot of stuff that I rarely use like acrylic ink, watercolors, and a little Wite Out- challenging, but way less time consuming than acrylic painting.

I finally found a use for some old sheets of 1 ply mechanical board. Right now I'm in the beginning stages of making a bunch of handmade postcards to send out to various galleries. I'm trying to keep then simple and minimal so that I can crank out a truck load of them. But really, if I get 10-15 of these cards done I'll be satisfied.

I've been trying to add more and more decorative elements into paintings, so thats what this is all about.

For those who are interested and don't already know, Tara Mcpherson, in addition to the lecture on Monday, will be having a print exhibition at the Chop Chop Gallery on Sunday (2/22) from 7-10pm. Just a heads up.

The Henderson's were saddned by the recent death of their dog T-Rex. So they rented a compact,economy size rokketship,grabbed the boxed up cremated remains of their beloved pet and shot off to scatter the ashes on the surface of the moon. Plus, they were packing heat just incase any unruly aliens came their way. Also, it was the year 3023, so all of this is totally believable.

This is one of those sketches where I just starting doodling and reworking the doodle until it finally turned into something. For some reason I just have to draw stuff that is spooky and haunting, or weird. I probably watched to many scary movies as a child or something.

Today I decided to try and come up with a new character and this is what resulted: a somewhat bloated-looking guy with a small peace offering,or an evil temptation...who knows. I'm fascinated by characters that float so here is another one.
